Hi, I’m Hayley.
Mum. Author. Teacher. In roughly that order, most days.
I’m Hayley. A writer, teacher and mum on the Gold Coast.
My work sits across motherhood, education, grief, storytelling, and the small moments that shape us.
I’m the author and host behind The Silent Mother, a book, podcast and retreat coming in 2026 for mums who have lost a baby. I’m also the founder of Little World Changers, a social and emotional learning program and resource library for primary classrooms.
Whether I’m writing for mothers, creating resources for children, or sharing stories from the in‑between travels of life, my hope is always the same. To help people feel seen, supported, and a little less alone.
I’m so glad you’re here.
What I’m building.
For mums carrying a love no‑one sees.
A book, a podcast and a retreat for mums who’ve lost a baby. Early losses, late ones, the babies whose names stay at home. I started it because I went looking for it and couldn’t find the version I needed.
SEL that actually fits in real classrooms.
Social and emotional learning resources for primary aged children, built by a teacher for teachers. Grounded in positive psychology and neuroscience, shaped by real classrooms, and used at home by parents too.
Books and the things worth saying out loud.
I write books for kids, and words for women healing from miscarriage, pregnancy and infant loss. I’m also open to speaking with schools, communities and media on SEL, baby loss, and building a life around work that matters.
Four things I keep believing.
- Listen before you advise.
- Kids learn how to feel from the grown-ups around them.
- Grief we don’t talk about doesn’t go away. It just goes underground.
- The small stuff is the real stuff.
Let’s work together.
Schools, panels, podcasts, travel collabs. I love it all. I talk about social and emotional learning, pregnancy and baby loss, and what it looks like to build a career around stories and making memories that matter. Topics and a short bio on request.
